New 4k monitor only 4k on DP, not HDMI
I have this Optiplex 3080 Micro, and a couple 4k monitors that I got recently. The Optiplex 3080 Micro has the Intel 630 Video and should do 4k over both display port, and HDMI.
I can only get it to do 4k resolution (3840x2160) over the DisplayPort, but not the HDMI. On HDMI, I can only get 2k resolution (2560x1440) I have heard that it's probably the HDMI cable, but... 1) it's the HDMI cable the monitor came with. 2) just to make sure, I got a new HDMI cable that is definitely 4k certified, and that did not change the situation. Help! I want it to do 4k over HDMI. This computer doesn't have 2 display ports.

3080MFF has HDMI 1.4
You won't be able to achieve 4k at 60hz unless you use HDMI 2.0

That's where #2 comes in, I believe the cable it came with must be 2.0 but just in case, the one I got is 2.1
and it still doesn't work.

the port is only able to support 1.4. so no matter what high speed cable you connect to, it gets downgrade to 1.4 spec.
